YEREVAN. – By 2020 all subscribers of Armenian Water Sewerage Company should get 24-hour water supply, Director General Patrick Laurent said.

Now they are 38 percent and by the end of this year will be 40 percent. He noted that the proportion of “good faith payers” increased from 31 percent to 96 in 2004-2013.

Ninety-eight percent of subscribers receive water four or more hours per day, and the average duration of water exceeded 16 hours a day .

Laurent noted that in 2013 the company received from the government around $100 million, the funds raised from abroad in the form of loans. The funds will be spent on upgrading the water supply network and will be fully mastered by 2017.

Since 2004 Armenian Water Sewerage Company has been operated under the contract with French SAUR company.
