YEREVAN. – Trees are being cut at the bank of the Darb River nearby Saravan village of Armenia’s Vayots Dzor Region.
A person passing by this area told the aforesaid to the “EcoLur” NGO over the phone.
“They are cutting down thick trees on the right side of the road, near the river bed. I saw about twenty trees that were cut down. We also saw a truck loaded with trees near Areni [village],” he added.
EcoLur issued an SOS alarm to the Ministry of Nature Protection, and “Hayantar” [“Armenian Forest”] State Non Commercial Organization.
