YEREVAN. – Nairit rubber plant employees will stage a protest action near president's residence in Yerevan on may 21, founder of Kamk civil movement Artashes Avetisyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“Debts have been accumulated for more than a year. In addition, we demand that the factory must be reset,” he said. 

The members of movement urge to continue fighting to prove that their power is unity.

Employees of the plant have been holding demonstrations near the government and the presidential residence for many years, but there problems are not solved.

Nairit was the only plant producing chloroprene rubber in the territory of the former Soviet Union. In 2006 ninety percent of shares were purchased by the British Rhinoville Property Limited for $40 million with the rest 10 percent belonging to the Armenian government.
