YEREVAN. – Armenia and Greece are linked by a long-standing cooperation and close relations between the two peoples, Greek Ambassador to Armenia Ioannis Taghis told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

In the ambassador’s words, several bilateral visits have taken place in the past, and these trips have contributed to the strengthening of relations between the two countries.

“And we hope that this will continue in the future, too. We have very good relations; we have to work in this direction.

“I’m confident that senior Armenian and Greek officials will pay mutual visits,” Taghis specifically said.

The Greek diplomat added that attempts are made to develop bilateral trade relations, as well.

Ioannis Taghis also informed about his warm feelings toward the Armenian people, who have numerous similarities with the Greeks, and he wished peace and prosperity to the Armenian nation.
