YEREVAN. – The Panarmenian Bank has potential investors, Central Bank of Armenia (CBA) Chairman Arthur Javadyan stated Monday at the National Assembly.

He noted that the bank’s authorized capital totals $20 million, but the Armenian government, which is the sole investor in this bank, has stated about coming out of the bank capital in the next three to four years.

Javadyan added that the Panarmenian Bank faces the task of conducting investment activities.

“It funds those projects whose accountability the commercial banks don’t assume. The problem is that we were expecting major capital investments, but the potential investors gave up their intentions,” the CBA head said, in particular.

Arthur Javadyan added, however, that the respective negotiations are still in progress.
