YEREVAN. – A traffic accident occurred Tuesday in Armenia’s capital city Yerevan.
An Opel—driven by Yerevan resident Hambardzum Manukyan—and a Lexus—driven by Lori Region resident Karen Saribekyan—collided at around 9:40am, Shamshyan.com reported.
Fortunately, however, there were no casualties or injuries.
It was found out that the person behind the steering wheel of the Lexus was ruling Republican Party National Assembly (NA) MP Karen Saribekyan, and the license plates of the vehicle were registered in the NA balance sheet.
But Saribekyan did not wait for the traffic police officers to finish their accident report, and stated, at the scene of the accident, that he was running late for the NA special session and headed for the parliament.
