YEREVAN. – Two out of five people injured in a shooting near Yerevan open-air souvenir market have been discharged from intensive care department.
However, 64-year-old Albina Badalyan and 72-year-old Mnatsakan Sukiasyan still remain in hospital, spokesperson for the hospital told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
Three others – Noraytr Harutyunyan, Valery Hovhannisyan and Myasnik Hayrapetyan – are in severe conditions, but their life is not threatened.
As reported earlier, Armenian police reported about a shootout in the center of Yerevan on Saturday afternoon. Five people were injured and were immediately taken to the hospital. A criminal case on charges of illegal possession of arms and hooliganism was instituted.
According to some reports, the argument and a scuffle broke out because of a parking place. The son-in-law of the MP decided “to settle the dispute” by firing at offenders and passers-by.
