YEREVAN. – Armenian authorities ruin the election process, member of opposition Heritage party told a briefing on Friday.

He noted that representatives of almost all parliamentary forces, including Heritage, noticed PM's statements on the need for cooperation, but he failed to present 1-2 bills proving his readiness to collaborate. One of such bills could be a draft bill enabling the opposition forces to control budget.

Another proof, Hakobyan said, is unwillingness to abandon a single-seat system that is continuously bringing the ruling party 41 seast in a 141-member parliament.

“This is ruining the election process. The only aim of elections is 'self-reproduction of the authorities',” Hakobyan emphasized.

Besides, he said that MPs from ruling parties are constantly breaking rules at the National Assembly, pushing the buttons for their absent colleagues during the vote.
