YEREVAN. – Armenia registered a 5.6-percent inflation last year, says the report on budget implementation for 2013.

The hearings on  budget implementation commenced in the Armenian parliament on Monday, the Armenian News-NEWS.am correspondent reported.

According to the report, inflation was mainly conditioned by increase in gas and electricity prices (9.7%). Food prices increased by 4 percent, and price of non-food products went up by 3.5 percent.

Increase in electricity and gas price was followed by signing of the Armenian-Russian agreement on gas supplies which provided for lifting 30%-duty. The gas price is set at $189 for five years.
