European Commission president Jose Manuel Barroso warned Bulgarian PM about response in case EU rules are violated while working on South Stream gas pipeline.   

Some agreements on South Stream that have been and are being discussed contradict the EU rules, Barroso said, adding that he had informed Bulgarian PM about it, RIA Novosti reported.

It is necessary to obey the internal rules of EU market, Barroso said after the informal European Council.
