YEREVAN. – Governor of Tavush Region Hovik Abovyan said excavation works are close to an end at Bagratashen - Sadakhlo border crossing point between Armenia and Georgia.

“Now the work on UNDP program moved to a checkpoint in Gogavan, Lori Region,” he told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The new governor, who used to be the head of three checkpoints on the border with Georgia, said a new border crossing point will simplify the border crossing regime and will improve customs clearance.
