Scotland has launched an official campaign for a referendum on independence slated for September 18 . The campaign starts on May 30 and will continue for 16 weeks.
During the referendum, the Scots will vote on whether they want to be a part of the United Kingdom.
The sides will be able to spend $2.5 million on campaigning during the referendum period, BBC Russian service reported.
