YEREVAN. – The delay in Armenia's accession to Eurasian Union is not caused by any pressure,  Education Minister and RPA deputy chairman Armen Ashtotyan told reporters.

The official assured pressure is out of the questions, urging skeptics not to damage country's image.

“In the 21st century every word even in Armenian, let alone Russian or English, may become the focus for certain circles,” Ashotyan said.

The Minister explained that Azerbaijani public figures are frequently quoting Armenian opposition politicians and media reports, and urged everyone to be cautious in their statements.

The treaty on establishment of Eurasian Economic Union was signed by the leaders of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan in Astana on Thursday. President Serzh Sargsyan participated in the meeting of Supreme Eurasian Economic Council and offered to sign a treaty on Armenia's accession till June 15, 2014.

Vladimir Putin, for his part, stressed necessity of signing a document with Armenia shortly.
