YEREVAN. – An average family benefit in Armenia amounted to 29,350 drams (around $70) last year, Labor Minister Artem Asatryan said during the parliamentary hearings on implementation of budget for 2013.

The minimum allowance is 16 thousand drams, he said, adding that  the number of families getting benefits has increased by 6.5 % reaching 102,570 .

Asatryan noted that a unified network of social service centers have been introduced throughout Armenia. Social workers of already 19 functioning centers will make up an individual program of assistance to socially vulnerable citizens.
