YEREVAN. – The relative of Armenian police official may face up to 7 years in jail, police press service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Sedrak Osipyan, a nephew of Yerevan deputy police chief Valery Osipyan, was charged with causing severe bodily injuries.

According to the agency's source, the court satisfied a motion on arresting the young man.The 22-year-old young man stabbed by Osipyan, is in stable condition.

As reported earlier, Osipyan had been wanted by police.
