YEREVAN. – Armenia has become a tool in the hands of Russia, and this has happened with the connivance of Armenia’s political leadership.
Political and International Studies Center Deputy Director, analyst Ruben Mehrabyan stated the above-said at a press conference on Wednesday.
In his conviction, Armenia’s political space does not have a single entity on whom the citizenry can pin hopes.
“The Armenian citizens need to take the fate of the state into their hands. Perfectly opposite things to the current ongoing events need to be thought about,” Mehrabyan noted.
The analyst added that it is indispensable to prevent Armenia’s Customs Union (CU) and Eurasian Economic Union (EaEU) accession. Ruben Mehrabyan stated, however, that at the moment he does not see any serious political force in the country that can achieve this.
