Beeline: Average Armenian mobile internet subscriber uses nearly 1 gigabyte a mo

YEREVAN. – An average mobile internet subscriber in Armenia uses nearly1 gigabyte a month,  ArmenTel CJSC Director General said.

Last year the number of mobile internet users increased by more than 30 percent, while the traffic nearly doubled, Andrey Pyatakhin said during a press conference on Friday.

“This means there are new users, and old ones download more,” he added.

At the same time, a significant portion of traffic continues to go outside Armenia, so the local content is not yet the majority, ArmenTel Director General said.

He stressed that the company continues to expand its mobile network coverage and to increase the number of channels.
