As a result of the elections conducted in South Ossetia, the United Ossetia party has formed a majority in the country’s parliament, reported RIA Novosti news agency of Russia citing the Central Election Commission of the republic.

Thus United Ossetia will take 20 seats in the 34-seat parliament of South Ossetia.

But the official voting results will be announced during the week.

It was reported earlier that the pro-Russian United Ossetia party was leading the parliamentary elections with 44.11 percent of the votes cast.
