YEREVAN. – The incidents on Armenia-Azerbaijan border are not something that started today or yesterday, former intelligence chief said.

Gurgen Yeghiazaryan, former chief of National Security Service, noted that incidents on Armenia-Azerbaijan border started when Karabakh was left out from the negotiations.

He is confident that by firing in the direction of border and killing Armenian servicemen, Azerbaijan wants to declare the conflict is linked to Armenia, not to Nagorno-Karabakh.

“We should have an action plan, we should think about our homeland, since we are faced with serious challenges,” he added.

As reported earlier two Armenian servicemen were killed by Azerbaijani snipers last week on the border in Nakhchivan direction.
