YEREVAN. – Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian on Friday participated in the parliamentary hearings in the lead-up to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.   

The hearings were held at the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute in capital city Yerevan.

Addressing the event, Nalbandian presented the activities which the Armenia MFA and diplomatic representations are conducting in connection with the centennial of the Genocide.

“The 2014/15 Action Plan is drawn up; the [respective] measures are planned to be implemented in dozens of countries,” Nalbandian specifically said.

The minister also noted that Armenia is making efforts to join the international initiatives toward coming up with more effective mechanisms for genocide prevention.

Following his address, Edward Nalbandian responded to the numerous questions posed by the discussants.
