STEPANAKERT. – Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), or Artsakh, President Bako Sahakyan on Monday sent a condolence letter to the family of Galya Arustamyan.
“I have learnt with deep sorrow about the untimely death of the chairwoman of the NKR Union of Relatives of Fallen Freedom Fighters organization, devoted daughter of our nation, Galya Arustamyan.
“Galya Arustamyan enjoyed great respect not only in the Motherland, but beyond its borders. She was a well-known public figure, and she took an active part in the Artsakh national-liberation struggle. Her contribution is invaluable in keeping the memory of the fallen freedom fighters alive and in the patriotic upbringing of the younger generation.
“On behalf of the people of Artsakh, the authorities, and myself in person, I extend the deepest sympathies and condolences to the family, relatives and friends of the deceased, and wish them courage and tenacity.
“Ms. Arustamyan’s bright memory will always remain with us,” President Sahakyan’s letter runs.
