STEPANAKERT. – Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), or Artsakh, President Bako Sahakyan on Friday, and accompanied by Health Minister Harutyun Kushkyan, visited the Republican Medical Center after Sarkis and Amalia Garabedian, in capital city Stepanakert, and met with representatives of the medical domain.

The development of health care and its existing problems in Artsakh were discussed during the meeting, informed the Central Information Department of the Office of the NKR President.

President Sahakyan stressed that the healthcare sphere will continue to be at the focus of the NKR authorities adding that having a physically healthy society is among the key issues the country faces.

Bako Sahakyan paid special attention to the level of technical equipment in the medical establishments’ preparation and retraining of personnel, as well as the expansion of a healthy lifestyle, and he give relevant instructions to the headship of the NKR Ministry of Health.
