YEREVAN. – Prime Minister of Armenia Hovik Abrahamyan received the representatives from several wine companies and discussed the avenues for the development of winemaking in the country. 

“The government will pay great attention to agricultural development and, also, to the infrastructure development, to create an opportunity for investors to work in the villages,” Abrahamyan specifically noted.

Subsequently, the representatives of the wine companies presented their problems, proposals, and observations concerning the development of winemaking in Armenia.   

The Premiere, for his part, informed the winemakers that the Armenian government will assist in setting up a laboratory with high-quality equipment and training specialists.   

He also assured that the Armenian state will stand with the domestic producers and it is ready to assist in the making of investments in winemaking.    

In addition, Hovik Abrahamyan expressed a willingness to hold such meetings on a regular basis.
