YEREVAN. – Azerbaijani special services were trying to extract data from Armenian military via social network, National Security Service said in a statement.

The media reports said that social network users, in particular users of Odnoklassniki social network – “Seyran Dervishyan”, “S Dr” and “Tigran Dervishyan” – established contacts with former and incumbent servicemen from Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh.

“Information received a great response: numerous citizens of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh addressed the National Security Service informing about suspicious messages.

The Azerbaijani spies did not come up with different legends. All “fake Armenians” introduced themselves as furniture traders who are working in Georgia, Istanbul or Russia and used to serve in the Armenian Army.

The Armenian National Security Service officers transferred Azerbaijani special services a significant amount of misinformation,” the statement reads.

National Security Service thanked the citizens who demonstrated patriotism, and once again urged to refrain from accidental contacts in social networks.
