YEREVAN. – On July 5, Armenia marks Constitution Day. The Constitution of the Republic of Armenia (RA) was adopted by a national referendum on July 5, 1995.
The amendments to the RA Constitution were approved by a referendum held on November 27, 2005. With these amendments, the powers of the National Assembly were broadened.
Pursuant to the Constitution, Armenia is a country with a semi-presidential system of governance.
