Georgian president Georgiy Margvelashvili is confident that Armenia and Azerbaijan will come to an understanding.

“The Georgian authorities are concerned over the situation created between two fraternal nations. I want to join the calls for de-escalation of situation in the region. It has major significance for both Armenia and Azerbaijan, and the entire region. Dialogue between the states must continue, and I am confident that they will reach understanding,” Margvelashvili said.

During the recent days, Azerbaijani military units carried out several reconnaissance and sabotage attempts, but were thrown away. Official Baku admitted over 20 servicemen were killed. Five Armenian soldiers were killed while repelling the diversion attempts.
