YEREVAN. – A group of supporters of Armenian-Russian businessman Levon Hayrapetyan plans to hold a march in Yerevan on Thursday. Businessman's friend Matsak Poladyan urged to join the demonstration to struggle together.

“We must be united especially in the time when the enemies are attacking us from all directions,” he told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“We know that Levon Hayrapetyan experiences health problems, and his health is deteriorating in jail. I would like to ask participants of the march to obey rules not to harm Levon Hayrapetyan”, he added.

The demonstrators will march to president's residence, ombudsman's office, Russia's Embassy in Armenia and to the Foreign Ministry.

Levon Hayrapetyan, 65, was detained in a Moscow airport on July 15 and subsequently arrested. On Thursday, July 24, the Russian Federation Investigation Committee brought two criminal charges against him; the charges are embezzlement or misuse, and money laundering.
