YEREVAN. – The situation is not that for Armenia to appeal to CSTO, Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan said during a press conference on Wednesday.

Asked whether CSTO should make a statement in relation with tension in Karabakh conflict zone, the Minister said Armenia would turn to CSTO's assistance only in case of large-scale hostilities.

As to the right assessment and condemnation, this is related not only to CSTO but all organizations. They must present sober assessment and condemn Azerbaijan.

Speaking about military and technical cooperation with partners, Minister said close cooperation with Russia continues after signing of relevant documents last year. The aim is to provide the army with modern weapons and equipment and establish direct contacts with Russian organizations.

“Cooperation with Russia is at high level,” he emphasized.
