During the negotiations Azerbaijan always speaks about diplomacy, reconciliation, and then it does what it does; there is no change in the position of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

Nagorno-Karabakh Republic National Assembly member Armen Sargsyan told the aforesaid to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“There are some agreements, but I don’t think Azerbaijan’s policy has changed after the trilateral meeting. It was just a regular meeting,” Sargsyan noted. 

He stressed that the Karabakh peace talks have resumed de jure, but de facto, there is no progress.

“The best result of this meeting would have been the reaching of an agreement on the establishment of peace and the protection of the ceasefire,” Armen Sargsyan concluded.    

On August 10, the Armenian, Russian, and Azerbaijani presidents—Serzh Sargsyan, Vladimir Putin, and Ilham Aliyev—held a trilateral talk in Sochi, Russia. They discussed the avenues for the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
