The meeting that was held in Sochi will be a step forward in terms of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement by way of democracy; the settlement should be based on the right of nations to self-determination.

Spanish member of the European Parliament and European Free Alliance member Iñaki Irazabalbeitia Fernández told the aforesaid to Armenian News-NEWS.am. 

In his view, the abovementioned trilateral talk between the presidents can help establish trust between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

On August 10, the Armenian, Russian, and Azerbaijani presidents—Serzh Sargsyan, Vladimir Putin, and Ilham Aliyev—held a trilateral talk in Sochi, Russia. They discussed the avenues for the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
