YEREVAN. – Armenian society is more satisfied with police work and indignant with the work of the ministries of healthcare, justice, education and science, the survey showed.

Sociologist Aram Adibekyan summed up the public opinion poll conducted to learn the level of reliability of the authorities.

The Armenian citizens are mostly concerned over creation of new jobs, increase in pensions and wages of state workers, availability of education and healthcare, reduction of taxes, as well as support to farmers and small business.

Asked how the problems can be solved, 47 percent of respondents offered to resume work of plants.

Over 70 percent believe those responsible for finding solutions to these problems are president, prime minister and parliament speaker. T

“Only 17 percent of the families participating in the survey said they rely on themselves and do not expect assistance of the leadership,” Aharon Adibekyan added.

The survey was conducted among 4,400 citizens in 82 towns and villages of Armenia as well as 13 administrative districts of capital city Yerevan.
