The students of Hong Kong, who organized large-scale protests against the Chinese authorities, have agreed to talks with Carrie Lam, the Chief Secretary for Administration of Hong Kong Government. This was reported in a press release on the website of the Federation of Hong Kong Students.

The students stressed that they are ready to continue the protests in support of a general election. The Federation demands that the authorities carry out political reforms and conduct universal suffrage, and they also demand the resignation of Liang Janina, the head of the Hong Kong administration.

On Wednesday, the students put an ultimatum to Liang Janina, threatening to seize government buildings if he does not leave his post by Thursday evening.
