There is a whole range of surveys in Contact.az website of Azerbaijan.
A quick glance at the survey questions shows that there are three main “points” of Azerbaijani public concern: Russia, Armenia, and the Azerbaijani authorities.
Three of the six surveys are related to Armenia and the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Even though an unsubscribed reader cannot see the surveys results, the low number of survey respondents is noteworthy.
“Do you agree with the [Azerbaijan] authorities’ premise that [Azerbaijani human rights activist] Leyla Yunus is Azerbaijan’s enemy?” This survey question has caused the biggest stir, as 24,054 people responded to this query.
“Do you believe that [Azerbaijani journalist] Rauf Mirkadirov is an Armenian spy?” This question was topical, too, and 900 people responded to it.
“What is the biggest threat for Azerbaijan today?” A total of 3,614 people responded to this question, and its answer options included the Karabakh conflict, the ruling regime, Western countries, etc.
