YEREVAN. – Armenian Deputy Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan on Wednesday received‎ Eric Fournier‬, Head of the Continental Europe Department of French MFA, to discuss issues related to implementation of bilateral cooperation program.

The sides touched upon military education, military medicine and peacekeeping operations.

The officials also discussed situation along the line of contact between Karabakh and Azerbaijan armed forces, as well as on the border between Azerbaijan and Armenia. They  exchanged views on regional security issues and stressed importance of strengthening confidence building measures proposed by OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs to avoid violations of ceasefire regime.
