Azerbaijani human rights activist Leyla Yunus has been transferred from Kurdakhani Detention Center to the Detention Unit of the Ministry of National Security (MNS).  

Analyst Azad Isazade announced that he had come to Kurdakhani on Monday morning, to pass a parcel to Yunus, but the detention center officials informed that she was transferred to the MNS, reported Turan news agency of Azerbaijan.   

Leyla Yunus was kept at Kurdakhani Detention Center for the past 2.5 months, and she was regularly complaining about psychological and physical pressures against her.  

Her husband, Arif Yunusov, is in custody at the MNS Detention Unit since early August.

The couple is accused of national treason and collaborating with Armenia special services.
