The Armenian and Azerbaijani Foreign Ministers will discuss “the return of Lachin and Kelbajar regions” during the meeting on the sidelines of the OSCE informal ministerial in Almaty, said Azerbaijani FM Elmar Mammadyarov.

“The meeting will be held July 16 or 17. The OSCE Co-Chairs has not presented us the specific dates yet,” Trend News quoted him as saying.

The Azerbaijani FM noted that “the attention at the talks will be given to the return of the Lachin and Kalbajar regions of Azerbaijan equal to the return of the five regions in the ‘5 +2’ format.” According to him, the return of the rest 5 regions is settled and will not be discussed.

As NEWS.am reported earlier, the Presidents of Russia, U.S. and France - Dmitry Medvedev, Barack Obama and Nicolas Sarkozy made a joint statement, instructing the OSCE MG Co-Chairs “to work intensively to assist the two sides to overcome their differences in preparation for a joint meeting in Almaty on the margins of OSCE Informal Ministerial.”
