YEREVAN. – A tragic incident that happened in Gyumri is a shameful act, no matter where it is committed, head of ARF faction Armen Rustamyan said.

Rustamyan believes the incident has no relation to Armenia-Russia ties.

“I am happy that the incident did not arise anti-Russian sentiments. We must show that we do not see an ethnic problem. The problem is about violation of law and internal situation at a military base,” Rustamyan assured.

He added that the measures must be tightened so that a serviceman could not leave a military unit freely.
