GYUMRI. – Protesters gathered near Shirak regional prosecutor's office rejected police proposals to form a delegation to hold discussion in the building.
Hundreds gathered near the building demanding that Valery Permyakov who stands accused of Monday’s brutal killing of the Avetisyan family in Gyumri city, be tried and brought to justice in Armenia, the Armenian News-NEWS.am correspondent reported.
Armenia's Prosecutor General Gevorg Kostanyan finally came out of the building to talk to the demonstrators.
Kostanyan promised that the criminal will face severe punishment, adding that one criminal case was instituted by Armenian law enforcement agencies, and another one by the Russians.
“Let the Armenian investigators work. I can stand here with you till morning, but let them work,” he said.
