YEREVAN. – Armenian News-NEWS.am has learned that, on the night of January 31, a group of persons attempted to commit robbery at the Ararat Branch of Haypost company of Armenia.

They broke into the post office by opening its door through technical means.

They were planning on stealing money from the automated teller machine (ATM) in the post office. But after a long “ordeal,” they could not open the ATM, and therefore fled the scene “empty-handed.”    

The Police have confirmed this information which Armenian News-NEWS.am had received.

An investigation is underway.
