YEREVAN. – National Assembly (NA) of Armenia Vice-Speaker Hermine Naghdalyan, who is also Head of the NA Armenia-China Friendship Group, on Wednesday met with Chinese Ambassador Tiang Erlung. Armenian News-NEWS.am has learned about the aforesaid from the NA Public and Media Relations Department.

First, congratulating the ambassador on the commencement of his diplomatic mission in Armenia, the NA deputy chair expressed the hope that parliamentary relations between Armenia and China will continue to productively develop.

Naghdalyan underscored the political contacts, exchange of knowhow, mutual visits, and bilateral talks between the two countries. In this context, she reflected on the activities of the friendship groups, and invited the Chinese parliament’s China-Armenia Friendship group members to Armenia.

The NA vice-speaker also highlighted the collaboration between the socially and politically active women of the two countries.

Ambassador Tiang, for his part, stressed that there is a solid foundation for the expansion of Armenian-Chinese ties. He also expressed willingness to contribute to the further enhancement of interstate cooperation, and the implementation of a variety of programs. The Chinese diplomat added that trade between the two countries has increased.

In addition, the interlocutors discussed regional and geopolitical processes.
