Family of the Armenian MP Khachatur Sukiasyan’s (wanted by police) and “Bjni” mineral water factory representatives appealed to European Court of Human Rights. Factory’s loss was estimated at over USD $124 mln, family lawyer Ara Zohrabyan told Radio Liberty.
According to him, company still incurs losses, currently calculated by Sil Concern.
The lawyer stated that appeal comprises two cases brought against Bjni factory by Armenian courts. “The facts underlying the proceedings indicate that public authorities administered arbitrary behavior toward of Bjni factory,” Zohrabyan said, adding that mineral water factory case assumes political overtone.
The persecutions of Sukiasyan’s family started once MP joined opposition leader Levon Ter-Petrosyan in 2008 February presidential race.
