On July 22, Armenian Premier Tigran Sargsyan met with Chinese Minister for Commerce Chen Jian. The Prime Minister made a point of Armenia’s participation in Shanghai Expo 2010 and opening of the Shanxi-Nairit joint venture.
Sargsyan also expressed gratitude to the Chinese government for technical assistance and informed of his forthcoming visit to China aimed at participation in the events dedicated to Armenia’s National Day scheduled for September within the framework of Shanghai Expo 2010, RA governmental press service informed NEWS.am. Tigran Sargsyan pointed out relations between Armenian and Chinese Culture ministries as well.
The sides discussed development of technical and economic cooperation and increase in trade turnover. They also stressed importance of the increase in the export of Armenian goods to China. The Chinese Minister informed Tigran Sargsyan of the agreements on expansion of bilateral cooperation reached in the course of his meetings with the ministers of foreign affairs, economy, energy and natural resources.
