Candidates endorsed by the Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA)-Glendale and Crescenta Valley (California, USA) chapters won big in the recent elections, with Vartan Gharapetian and Paula Devine were elected to the Glendale City Council, with Gharapetian becoming the third Armenian-American on the five-person council, reported Asbarez.

Another Armenian-American candidate Erik Yesayan, who was running for the first time, came with the third highest votes.

On the Glendale Unified School District front, ANCA-endorsed candidates Nayiri Nahabedian won a third term, and she will be joined by Jennifer Freemon on the board.

And in the Glendale Community College Board elections, both ANCA-endorsed candidates, Tony Tartaglia and Dr. Vahe Peroomian, won reelection.
