YEREVAN. – Verbal threats do not contain any facts: you can speak whatever you want, but this does not mean that everything will be implemented, Russia's Ambassador to Armenia Ivan Volynkin told Armenian News-NEWS.am. 

His remark came in response to a request to comment on Turkey President's threats over possible withdrawal of the Ambassador from Moscow because of President Putin's statement on Genocide.

Every state is pursuing its interests, and every country has right to defend its interests.

“Every state has the right to have its allies and trading partners. And here we set very clear priorities. President Putin said everything when we was here on the occasion of the sorrowful date of Genocide. I think, there is nothing more to say,” Ambassador added.

According to HaberartiTurk website, during his meeting with the Turkish scholars, President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan said he talked on phone with Putin and told him he was upset by a statement on the Armenian Genocide. He did not rule out recalling of ambassador from Moscow.
