Criminal charges have been file over the assassination attempt on Armenia’s Syunik Province governor Surik Khacatryan.  

The criminal charges have been file according to Articles 34-104 (2) and Article 235 (1) of the Armenian Criminal Code, Armenia’s Investigative Committee press service reports.  

An investigative-operative group led by Syunik Province Investigative Department Head Vahram Daghunts headed to the incident site, which is being examined.

Surik Khachatryan’s car was fired on the Goris-Kapan road on Wednesday. No one was injured.
