YEREVAN. - School textbooks can be revised in the framework of the World Bank project, Armenia’s Education Deputy Minister Karine Harutyunyan said in the parliament on Monday.
The main objective of the project is to ensure the traditional subjects, which had to concede to a large number of new ones. As a result of the reduction of school hours, it has become difficult for children to fully master them.
The necessity in the revision will be identified on the basis of the school program analysis.
Besides, the question on engaging not only scientists, but also pedagogues in the textbook writing process will be discussed. The latter will pass a corresponding training. “This will help make the textbooks not only content-rich, but also easy to master,” Harutyunyan said.
