YEREVAN. – According to Police data, 444 people were registered and 680 others were removed from registry in Armenia in the first quarter of 2015.

Head of the Census and Demography Division at the National Statistical Service, Karine Kuyumjyan, said the aforementioned at a press conference on Wednesday.

“From the 444 people, 115 came from the NKR [i.e. the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic], 100 from Syria, 83 from Russia, 53 from Georgia, 15 from Iran as well as from Ukraine, France, the US, and elsewhere,” Kuyumjyan added.

In her words, out of the 680 persons that were removed from registry, 114 left for Russia, 110 for the NKR, 112 for the US, and the rest headed for Ukraine, Georgia, France, and several other countries.

In addition, a total of 458 thousand entries and 488 thousand departures were recorded in Armenia between January and March of the current year.
