YEREVAN. – Armenian and Turkish foreign ministers held 15 meetings, but the Turkish side had never raised the issue of the Armenian NPP, Foreign Minister Edward Nalabandian said during the Rose-Roth seminar in Yerevan.
Responding to a question of the Italian delegate on Turkey's conditioning the border opening with Armenian NPP, and whether it is actually a problem or just an excuse, Mr. Nalbandian said: “You are right: it is most likely a false pretext. The Turkish side is looking for different reasons to speak against Armenia.”
Minister Nalbandian reiterated that Armenia and Turkey had reached an agreement on the protocols without any preconditions, and the Turkish side should not make preconditions now.
