YEREVAN. – Armenia and Russia will exchange information on nuclear disasters.

The draft of the respective intergovernmental agreement has been approved at Thursday’s Cabinet meeting of Armenia.

The agreement provides that in the case of a nuclear accident in one of these countries—and within the framework of peaceful use of atomic energy—, the injured party will immediately inform the partner country and disseminate information about contamination.

The agreement is compliant with the Convention on Early Notification of a Nuclear Accident.
