Russian businessman German Sterligov is adjusting to his new place of residence, the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR; Artsakh). 

Sterligov had moved to the NKR at the beginning of July, and he has started to sell his assets in Russia.

After traveling to Artsakh, the Azerbaijani authorities had put him on their “blacklist,” but this has not bothered him at all.

The “blacklist” of the Azerbaijan MFA comprises all those foreigners that have visited Nagorno-Karabakh without the knowledge of the Azerbaijani authorities. This “list” is getting bigger, and it includes the names of several hundred well-known people, counting world-renowned personalities such as Spanish operatic soprano Montserrat Caballé.

German Sterligov spoke to Vesti TV of Russia about his future plans.

“We bought a mill today; now, I’m a Karabakh miller,” said Sterligov. “Now, we have the means to live.”

The eccentric Russian businessman spends the whole day in the Karabakh mountains choosing a suitable location for his new farm.

The whole family— Sterligov’s wife and five children—have moved to Karabakh with him, and that is why he is preparing to build a big house.

German Sterligov plans to farm and sell his own environmentally friendly products. 

“First of all, they are the sheep; the Karabakh breed of sheep—the most sumptuous and amazing,” he explained. Sterligov added that one cannot find a better place for an eco-farm.

The Russian businessman, however, still conceals the reasons for his sudden moving to Karabakh. But he promised to make these reasons public during the press conference he will hold on July 13 in Karabakh. 

German Sterligov’s wife, Alyona, also has adjusted to her new place of residence. She has opened a fashion house, just like the one she had in the greater Moscow area.
